The Immersion begins with an in-depth consultation with Amanbagh’s resident Ayurvedic physician to determine individual health goals, identify internal obstacles, and develop a balanced daily practice itinerary. Over a minimum of four nights, private movement and meditation classes are supported by a personally optimised nutrition plan based on the sattvic diet, focusing on fresh, organic foods rich in prana, or life force.

The best time to visit Alwar is from October to March. This is ideal for tourism and safaris in nearby Sariska Tiger Reserve, with November to February being the most comfortable.

The best time for festivals is February when the locals celebrate the festival of Matsya.

The off-season is from April to June and should be avoided as temperatures soar between 30 degrees and 45 degrees Celsius.

Sample itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at Delhi International Airport. To be met upon arrival and transferred to an airport hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: After an early breakfast transfer by road to the Amanbagh resort in the town of Alwar, Rajasthan. The distance is 187 km and the journey time is about 3 hr. and 17 mins. Check in at the resort. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 onwards: Avail a two-night retreat on the seasonal therapies available at the time, example: on gut restoration or deep sleep or a four- night immersive experience on Yoga and Mindfulness or related programs.

At the end of the stay at Amanbagh
: After breakfast, check out of the resort and transfer to the Sariska Tiger Reserve (closed for safaris on Wednesdays). The distance is 28.8 km and the journey time is 49 mins. Check into a hotel by 02:00 pm. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay.

The next day: Take the early morning safari at 06:00 am ( the time varies up to 07:00 hrs. for different seasons.). Guests are required to reach the canter/jeep boarding point one hour prior to the safari start time for verification of their passports. Passports should be carried in original for each safari.  

The duration of the game drive is about three hours. Return to the hotel for breakfast and rest. Post lunch, take the afternoon safari at 02:00 pm in a different zone (the time varies up to 03:30 pm for different seasons). Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Sariska – Jaipur: Today, take the early morning safari. Return to the hotel for breakfast and check-out by 11:00 am. Transfer to Jaipur . The distance by road from Sariska is 85.2 km and the journey time is about 1 hr 49 mins. Check into the hotel Umaid Bhawan A Heritage Styled Boutique Hotel or similar four star hotel. The check-In time is 12:00 Noon. In the evening, transfer by private car to  Johari Bazaar, a must visit market, located near Hawa Mahal and a shopper’s paradise in Jaipur. It opens daily. The word ‘Johari’ in Hindi means ‘Jeweller’, so the name describes the market. It is lined with hundreds of shops that deal with exclusive jewellery and artifacts representing the rich Rajasthani culture and craftsmanship of the city. Not only jewellery, it is also an ideal place to shop for lehengas (flowing dresses), exquisite Mojari’s or Jutis (leather sandals), and sarees in colorful Bandhej and glittering stonework or gemstones. You can also get bed sheets, gift items, souvenirs, shawls etc. Even if you are there not to buy anything, the market will tempt you to buy something.

The next day at Jaipur: After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the renowned Amber Fort: Try to arrive prepared after reading a bit about its history and the related legends. Historically, this was a palace built for a king with 12 wives, each associated with a zodiac sign, with separate apartments for each queen. The architecture is stunning.

Suggested place for lunch: The restaurant Kigelia Court which offers Indian and European cuisine. Situated under a magnificent 200 year old South African Kigelia tree outside, the inside of the restaurant is true to the Rajasthani style with intricate hand-painted frescoes.

Post lunch, visit the Observatory, showcasing the country’s astronomical heritage.
The Jantar Mantar as it is called, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is an astronomical observatory dating from the beginning of the 18th century.
It includes several outdoor masonry instruments and has a sundial which gives the correct time to within 2 seconds.
In the evening visit the City palace Museum: Built in the mid-18th century, with additions continuing until the mid-20th century, the City Palace comprises of multiple buildings and complexes. It is one of the few royal court complexes of a Hindu ruler from the Mughal era that has survived intact as a single historical site to this day. The museum is open till 06:30 pm on all days and is closed during the festival of Holi.    
Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Departure from Jaipur to Delhi: After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive back to Delhi, a distance of 307 kms. The journey time is 4 hr. and 49 mins. but some additional time may be required to negotiate traffic within the two cities. Check into a hotel or drive straight to the airport to take a return flight home.
